The contacts that you have in your LinkedIn account are referred to as your “natural network” and can be used to help you ramp up your visibility much more quickly. You can uncover all the connection opportunities with the “Add Connections” located in the navigation menu.

Four natural connection channels can be located. The task of thoroughly reviewing LinkedIn connection and going through adding connections through the connection channels should be done monthly to increase the strength of your visibility.

• You can send a LinkedIn invitation to connect to new contacts though the “Add Connections” feature where you can add connections by typing in your email address to search your email address book or you can type in the email addresses of known contacts.
• You can also connect with colleagues from your current and past work experience and send invitations to connect in the “Colleagues” tab.
• Find classmates from high school and college to connect with in the “Classmate” tab.
• You can also search and connect with new people through your existing connection by reviewing the “People You May Know” list.
